My process is relaxing and effortless. Your pregnancy is a time you will treasure forever. Your entire world is changing and a maternity session is a perfect way to capture the love of your growing child.
I will document you with pure, elegant, romantic photos.
You are welcome to bring along a partner and children to take part in your session.
A maternity shoot is usually done between the 28th and 34th week of your pregnancy.
We can use my beautiful field location, but you're also welcome in my studio for beautiful portraits.
In my client wardrobe you can find the most beautiful dresses and robes, perfect to show your beautiful bump.

The session is all about connection. The smile on your face while you look at your baby, daddy's hands holding your little newborn.. The first days with your baby are so special and I want to capture this beautiful moment for you to cherish forever.
My studio is a lovely place and fully equipped. It has a lot of props and there is a client wardrobe where mom can find the perfect dress to wear for the session.
After your session I will cull and edit your photos. Your gallery is typical ready within two weeks of your session. You will receive a watermarked proofing gallery so you can select your favorite images. And then it's time to enjoy them!

The short answer: it depends! I no longer tie my portrait collections with a specific session time. This is because after photographing hundreds of maternity, family, and newborn sessions over the years, I've come to find that every session requires a different amount of shooting time. What's most important is the end result we create--the art! I'll be able to determine when the session is complete once we have captured what we needed. Family and maternity sessions will typically last 30-60 minutes and newborns 90-120 minutes.

The sooner the better! My calendar fills up quickly, so the sooner you reach out, the more likely you are to get your desired date!
I recommend booking maternity sessions between weeks 30-35. And newborn sessions are best before 21 days old. I tentatively reserve for your due date, and then adjust my calendar once baby arrives.
To reserve your date, we'll need a contract as well as a deposit. And if something comes up and you need to change your date, just let us know!

How far in advance should we book?

By booking your newborn session, I will get your due date on my calender. Since the arrival of the baby is typically unpredictable, we will schedule your session after the baby is born. Please contact me as soon as the baby arrives, so we can schedule your session.
I suggest scheduling when the baby is 5-14 days old, to get those cute, sleepy newborns. But there is never a wrong time to document your baby!
